Old Problems Solved with Automatic Openers
11/28/2013 Back To BlogThe first garage doors were primitive, but at that time cars were limited and the needs of families were less than today. In reality, vehicles were protected within wooden storage rooms and often kept company with the family's cattle. Thieves didn't care about these things back then and, hence, the need for enhanced security measures was pointless. People's lives were much simpler and the agony about the protection of the environment and the insulation of the house hadn't started yet. Even when the first electric garage door openers appeared, there were many problems related to their noise, speed and protection offered to people.
The baby illnesses are treated
The passing of time has one good element, which is the correction of past mistakes and progress. The shortcomings of the first automatic garage door openers were fixed right away and the sensors became the means that ensured our safety from the door itself and other accidents related to the garage doors. They activate the reverse mechanism, smell dangerous chemicals and smoke, close the door behind us and turn on the lights. When the baby illnesses were cured, the remote controls invaded our lives and their quick development kept us amazed, safe and confident that we would return to a well-protected property.
The noise belongs to history nowadays
Openers were always noisy; after all, they are pulling up a huge panel, which is extremely heavy, but today you have multiple choices among various types that are distinguished basically by their noise levels. Most people still own a chain drive garage door opener because it is very reliable and inexpensive, but today it wouldn't make a tremendous difference to your pocket buying a belt drive opener since it is completely silent. Of course, some people would still pick the noisy ones, but it's good to have options.
